This afternoons dog walk was in the beautiful Alexandra Park in Hastings. Originally opened in 1864 and redesigned in 1877. Hastings largest formal park has aprox 109 acres of formal gardens and wild woodlands. The lower end of Alexandra Park has lots of public facilities including a café, lake, toilets, war memorial and adventure playground. The park has small water reservoirs that provide leisure fishing which is linked by a water thoroughfare around the park itself. The Alexandra Park PSPO order requires all dogs must be on lead during the hours of 8am to 6pm daily on Lower Alexandra Park between Dordrecht Way and Bethune Way.
As a professional dog walker and pet care provider it is important for us to be able to accommodate all of our clients and their dogs needs as much as we can. Alexandra Park, because of the PSPO order, offers a super option for those dogs that can not have an off lead walk or require a 1to1 walk if they are a little shy or nervous and/or reactive with other dogs. Puppies and senior dogs can also enjoy a peaceful stroll around this park enjoying the amazing plants and smells they provide.
The park cafe offers excellent service and locally sourced food and is open between 9am-4pm.
Parking is available on Lower Park Road and Upper Park Road ( charges may apply).
